Shared space opens for business in Burnett

A NEW co-working space provides a hub for Burnett businesses to gather and collaborate in.

The Platform, based in Murgon, is an initiative of the Burnett Inland Economic Development Organisation and CEO Kristy Frahm said it would be an asset for businesses across the region.

"It is a place people can travel to and connect, and we are hoping agencies will take advantage of it when they are in the region,” Ms Frahm said.

Although it is based in the South Burnett, the space has a North Burnett touch as the logo was designed by Gayndah-based business Truth Designs.

The logo features a vintage-style font in honour of the old railway line in Murgon, while The Platform's aim to allow businesses to collaborate and connect with each other is symbolised by a semi-circular graphic.

"It is great to have local businesses working on things like that with us,” Ms Frahm said.

"They go above and beyond and I believe that is the case for so many businesses in our region.”

Ms Frahm said the future of the space would depend on the needs of businesses.

The Bundaberg Business Enterprise Centre has supported The Platform and its entrepreneur facilitator will be based there when visiting the region.
