Sons of Anarchy's ending spoiled for fans
THE creator of hit bikie show Sons of Anarchy has apologised to fans after this week's final episode was accidentally spoiled. Kurt Sutter took to Twitter to apologise for the leak, which happened when the book Sons of Anarchy: The Official Collector's Edition was shipped early to some customers in the US.
The final episode of Sons of Anarchy is due to air in the US this week and in New Zealand on TV3 next week, but the book wasn't due to be released until after the final episode aired.
Sutter apologised and expressed outrage that some fans had scored copies of the book early. (Warning: the following contains bad language)
"It has been brought to my attention that our SOA Collector's Edition Book has been sent out a week early by some distributors and book outlets," he wrote.
"This book contains details about the final episode of the series. This, my friends is a storyteller's worst nightmare. I wanted this book to be a compliment to the show.
"It contains personal messages and photos from the cast, in-depth behind the scenes information and detailed breakdown of episodes."
Sutter said heads would roll over the mistake, and asked fans who already had the book to stay off social media so the ending wasn't spoiled for others.
A similar thing happened to fans of The Walking Dead, when a picture showing the death of a major character in last week's mid-season finale was published on Facebook before everyone had had a chance to see the episode.
But there's more at stake for Sons of Anarchy, which bows out with what actor Kim Coates calls "a brutal Shakespearean epic"
He told TheStar.com: "This is going to be epic. There won't be a dry eye in the house when it's over. I can't tell you why I said that. But it is brutal. It is a brutal Shakespearean epic finale that will be total madness."
