South Burnett groups share more than $200,000 in funding

SEVEN South Burnett community organisations have been successful in securing funding to boost their operations.

Kingaroy's Queensland Country Women's Association branch and the Kingaroy Swimming Club each received the maximum of $35,000 allocated through the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.

The CWA will will use the funds to update the roof of the facility, while the swimming club will purchase new equipment and marquees.

Murgon Local Ambulance Committee will benefit from $34,532 which it will use to purchase an electronic manikin.

Meanwhile, members of the Murgon Rotary Club will be able to cool things down after the organisation secured $29,062 to install fans.

The South Burnett Saints Australian Football Club will spend its $26,847 in funding on installing goal post netting and mobile goal posts.

The South Burnett Community Orchestra Association Inc will use its $24,883 to help cover the cost of music workshops and community concert.

The kitchen at the Wondai Regional Art Gallery will be upgraded after the organisation received $26,000 to make it happen.

A new water tank will be installed at the Kingaroy tennis courts and the association will buy new equipment using its $11,452 in funding.

Finally, the Blackbutt Art Gallery will be able to host events and buy equipment thanks to $5845 in funding.
