South Burnett players kick-off championships
FOUR South Burnett rugby league stars will be giving it their all for the Central Crows at the Queensland Rugby League junior state championships.
The four day competition kicks off today with Joel Fewquandie and Domo Sandow to join forces in under-14s while Glen Fisher will play in the U16 side and Traevonnah Fisher will feature at her third championships in the U16 girls side coming up against Queensland's most promising talent from northern and southeast regions.
"With a chance to be selected in one of many QRL emerging player programs, the opportunities are endless for the players who excel over the next four days,” QRL Regional general manager Glenn Ottaway said.
Joel and Domo will start their campaign at 11am, play again at 10am on Friday and at 4.30pm on Saturday playing 25 minute halves with no time off for injury and 12 interchanges per game.
Glen will start at noon, play again at 2.15pm on Friday and 2.15pm on Saturday playing 30 minute halves with no time off for injury and 10 interchanges per game.
Traevonnah will face Southeast Queensland today, Northern at 4.30pm on Friday and 3.30pm on Saturday before coming up against Southeast again on Sunday.
The U16 girls games will be 25 minute halves with no time off for injury and an unlimited number of interchanges per game.
The boys titles will be determined by a top of the table final played on Sunday while the girls titles will be determined on competition points.
