South Burnett rain will not stop Murgon Christmas Fair

RAIN has lashed the South Burnett but it appears the Murgon Christmas Fair will escape most of the wild weather.

Fair organiser Paul Pratt said the skies looked clear in preparation for the event, which starts at 5.30pm and ends at 9.30pm

"Everything is set up and ready to go," Mr Pratt said.

"It looks like the storms are going to go south of us, which is good."

South Burnett residents can expect plenty of entertainment throughout the night from Crow FM, Arthur Nettelfield, the Wondai Town Band and carols with Barambah Ministers.

The event will also have a Christmas dress-up competition and plenty of food stalls.

Santa Claus will arrive at the fair at 6pm, with photos from 6.15pm-8.15pm.
