South Mackay supermarket robbed at knifepoint last night

POLICE are investigating after a supermarket was robbed at South Mackay yesterday evening.

Around 6pm a man armed with a knife has entered the Juliette Street store and demanded money from the female attendant.

After taking cash the man has then left the store and rode away on a mountain bike heading north along Juliet Street.

The female attendant was not physically injured during the robbery.

The man is described as Caucasian, 183cm tall, of average build and was wearing a black cap, sunglasses, a black t-shirt with a long sleeved blue shirt over the top and black tracksuit pants.
