Special night out at the ball

PEOPLE gathered to put aside a night to enjoy each other's company and be there for one another.

South Burnett Peace of Mind's White Dove Ball drew a crowd as people took the chance to dress up and enjoy a meal by Judy Crawford on Friday October 26.

Peace of Mind president Rhonda Trivett said the night was all about giving the community a special night out at the Kingaroy Town Hall.

"I'm glad that we have a ball, because for once people want to get dressed up and have a good night, they don't have to spend a $100 to go to a ball,” she said.

The night was all about toppling social barriers and allowing people who live on the streets, or face mental and social hardships, to enjoy the night out.

Artist Leanne Hicks donated her piece 'Butterfly Dreaming' as the first prize auction piece at the ball.
