Speedway turns pink for good cause

SPEEDWAY: The Toowoomba Speedway will turn pink for a good cause on Saturday, December 15 for the club's annual pink night.

At the meeting, in aid of the National Breast Cancer Foundation, all women will enter for free, with gold coin donations to be given to the foundation.

"We want to play our part in making a contribution to continue the research and the wonderful work the team at the National Breast Cancer Foundation do all year round,” a club spokesperson said.

"If we can play some part toward what they are striving for, then we most definitely want to be a part of that.”

The objective is to help and assist with research in the fight against breast cancer and help the push to achieving zero deaths from breast cancer by the year 2030.

It is set to be a great night of racing, from 5pm, with sprintcars out in force to contest round four of the Ultimate Sprintcar Championship.

The sprintcars will be supported by modified sedans, lightning sprints, wingless sprints and compact speedcars.
