PLAYERS from the South Burnett, Central Burnett and Northern Districts played their hearts out to be selected as part of the Wide Bay representative team, the Northern Rangers, in the 47th Battalion.

A trio of trial games were played last night at Nanango, where the best senior players of each of the three teams were picked to compete in the competition to be held in Roma over May 2-3.

Of the 20 players selected seven were from the South Burnett, three from the Central Burnett and 10 from the Northern Districts.

The Northern Rangers team will be made up of:
