KINGAROY'S under-14 Red Ants showed no mercy with a 30-point win over the Nanango Stags.

Tries were scored frequently at the Stags' homeground as the Red Ants backed up their attack with strong defence.

Under-14 Red Ants coach Adam Pascoe said this victory was a result of playing good, basic league.

"It was fairly basic, we just tackled really well," Pascoe said.

This defence allowed left centre Xealand Eustace to slice through the left wing with his pace and score tries.

"If he can play like that (again) it will do his confidence some good," Pascoe said.
