Stiletto heels used to attack a policeman in Maryborough

A WOMAN who allegedly used her stiletto heels to assault a police officer outside a Maryborough nightclub will face court today on three separate charges.

The 21-year-old allegedly scratched a male officer on the legs and hands with her heels outside the Criterion Hotel on Wharf St about 6am on Sunday.

A police spokesman said the officer's injuries were minor and did not require hospital treatment.

He said the woman was charged with assaulting police, obstructing police and public nuisance.

She was released on watchhouse bail and is expected to appear in Maryborough Magistrates Court for mention of all three charges on Tuessday.
