Still no verdict from the Hey Dad jury

JURY members will continue their deliberations next week after they were unable to reach a verdict to determine the fate of former Hey Dad! actor Robert Hughes.

The former television star is accused of committing 11 sexual and indecent assaults on five women, who were all aged under 16, when the alleged attacks occurred during the 1980s and '90s.

Hughes, 65, who played Martin Kelly in the hit show, has pleaded not guilty in the New South Wales District Court to the charges

The eventual verdict will mark the final stage of what has already been a marathon five-and-half week hearing which included more than 20 witnesses, hundreds of pages of documents and a full week of closing submissions by the various parties.
