Stingers deployed to catch dangerous driver at Loganholme

A 17-year-old man has been charged following investigations into the alleged dangerous operation of a stolen vehicle in Loganholme last night.

It will be alleged that at 8.55pm, police attempted to intercept a stolen vehicle on the M1 at exit 35, however it failed to stop.

POLAIR tracked the car to Ormeau and then back through Loganholme where two stingers were deployed, the second successfully.

It will be further alleged the vehicle was then abandoned on the motorway in Loganholme and the driver left the scene on foot.

POLAIR continued to track the man who was arrested in Constellation Drive.

A 17-year-old man is scheduled to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court today charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle, failing to stop a motor vehicle, driving a motor vehicle without a driver's licence, and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
