Strong start to 2019 for real estate agents

IT HAS been a busy start to 2019 for South Burnett real estate agents.

Since returning from holiday two weeks ago Rod Dionysius from Raine and Horne Kingaroy has seven houses under contract and two under offer, across Kingaroy, Wooroolin and Tingoora.

"Nine properties in two weeks is an outstanding way to start the year,” he said.

"The rental property market is very strong and more investors are coming back to market.”

Mr Dionysius said the January and February period was a busy time in the Kingaroy area each year.

"There has been a mixture of everything - some new families, investors and locals across the board,” he said.

"We are seeing a lot of people come from out of town because you can pick up a fairly good price and it is a cheaper price than in Brisbane.”

Mr Dionysius expects the market will continue to be competitive this year, following on from 2018.

"If you look at the figures, it was a very strong year, which is a positive sign for the market and we are off to a strong start this year,” he said.
