SUNDAY STING: Drug and drink-drivers busted in the Burnett

SIX people will appear in Nanango Magistrates Court charged with drug-driving following roadside tests by the Kingaroy Road Policing Unit in Blackbutt and Nanango on Sunday.

A 47-year-old Benarkin North man, 50-year-old Benarkin woman, 49-year-old Blackbutt North woman, 39-year-old Caboolture man and 33-year-old Southport woman each tested positive to either THC (tetrahydrocannabinol found in marijuana), methylamphetamine or both in Blackbutt.

Meanwhile in Nanango, police intercepted a 43-year-old Nanango man who also returned a positive roadside drug test.

A 36-year-old Benarkin man will also front court after returning a reading of 0.060 to a roadside breath test in Yarraman on Sunday.

Each driver was issued with notice to appear in the Nanango Magistrates Court on November 18.
