Sunshine Coast cafes rank highly in Beanhunter top 100

BEANHUNTER has released its annual list of Australia's top cafes for 2014 and 13 of the top 100 named hail from the Sunshine Coast.   

Over thirteen thousand cafes were part of the process and a complex ranking algorithm was was used to generate the winning list.

Beanhunter's algorithm took into account reviews, pageviews, photos, favourites, user credibility and much more over the course of 2014 to generate this list.  

From the winning list 26 cafes were from Brisbane, 21 from Sydney, 19 from Melbourne, 13 from the Sunshine Coast, 11 from the Gold Coast, 5 from Newcastle, 2 from Adelaide, 2 from Hobart and 2 from Canberra  

Beanhunter's CEO & co-founder James Crawford said awards highlight the top cafes that users have been reviewing and sharing throughout the year.

"We've crunched a lot of data to determine this list. Our team was surprised that there weren't more Melbourne cafes on the list as Melbourne is known as the coffee capital of Australia."
