Herbal supplements linked to organ failure

THE safety of herbal supplements is being questioned following the revelation their use has been linked to six organ transplants in Australia in the past five years.

Liver transplant specialist Dr Nick Shackel told the ABC he had seen multiple cases of liver failure associated with herbal supplements - in many cases green tea extract.
