Take a drive and support the community
IF YOU'RE looking for a day of fun for the family this Saturday, come on down to John Dundas.
Mark Huston and Wayne Muller from John Dundas are hosting a Test Drive Fun Day to raise money for Kingaroy's local football club.
"We have the day here on Saturday where any money raised will go to supporting the Kingaroy Red Ants,” Mr Muller said.
"We're calling it a Test Drive Fun Day, where anyone who comes in and test drives a motor vehicle, we're going to donate some money for the Kingaroy Red Ants football club.”
The event will have many fun opportunities for the kids, as well.
"We're going to have a jumping castle here to keep the kids entertained, and everyone can come by and join in. To raise some more money for the club, we'll be having a sausage sizzle for a gold coin donation, too,” Mr Muller said.
Mr Huston is proud to be supporting Kingaroy through the Fun Day.
"This type of event is part of what we do to support the community. That's what being Town Proud is. It's all a free day, too. Except for the gold coin donation,” he said.
The team are also excited to be showcasing a new car throughout the day.
"Because it's a family event, we're also going to be showcasing our new Holden Acadia, which has just been released in Australia,” Mr Huston said.
"I guess the reason for the family day is because this SUV is a large family vehicle, so we thought we'd do something else for families with an event, too,” Mr Muller added.
Mr Muller appreciates all the help that they'll get over the weekend.
"We do have a fair few people helping out on the weekend, too. But it's mainly our staff that are there. CrowFM are also going to be outside doing a broadcast, too.
"There's a fair bit happening here on Saturday morning. It's going to be a great day, and everyone is welcome to come by.”
