Taste of Woodford in the South Burnett

AN INTERNATIONAL artist who performed at the Woodford Folk Festival over the festive season will bring her show to Nanango for one night only on Wednesday.

Teresa Doyle, from Canada, will perform at the South Burnett's go-to folk venue The Shed from 7pm.

The Shed owner Jane Erkens said it was great to get someone of Ms Doyle's talents to the region.

"She is from Prince Edward Island in Canada,” Ms Erkens said.

"Where she comes from it's a very Celtic-type area, a big Scottish area.

"You can hear that in her singing, the Celtic influence.”

Ms Erkens said local performers the Sempf Family would be the support act.

"We always try to have a local performer as the support act,” she said.

Ms Erkens said shows at The Shed were a unique experience.

"It's an opportunity for people to not only see these performers, but speak to them,” she siad.

"They do come out and talk to everybody, it's amazing.

"If you come from this area, it's probably your one and only opportunity to see them.”

To buy tickets, which are $20 each, or to RSVP and pay at the door contact Nanango Real Estate on 41621677 and ask for Jane.
