Teams suffer with low numbers on court
TENNIS: A six game penalty to team Coopers in the Kingaroy Tuesday night tennis fixtures helped the Newcombes score a win.
The Coopers secured the win in the final two sets to win 28 games to 26.
The Lavers had a big win over the Stosurs winning 41 games to 20.
Sue Francis, who played for the Lavers as her team had a bye was key in the win.
The Rafters put up a strong fight against the Hewitts to be leading by two after the first two sets.
Scores were tied at 16-all at the halfway mark and the Hewitts took the lead to win 38 games to 24.
The Frasers were forced to forfeit their game to the Moliks due to lack of players available.
Five weeks into the nine week competition the Lavers and Newcombes are sitting at the top of the ladder on 13.
