Teen boy dies after falling from motorbike

A 16-YEAR-OLD boy has died after falling from a motorbike at a suburban sports ground.

Police said other children were the first to find the teenager after the crash at Beachmere, east of Caboolture, on Friday.

Emergency services were called to Beachmere Sports Complex near Rogers St about 5.20pm.

Police said it appeared the boy, from Beachmere, had been riding a motorbike on a dirt access road at the complex when he lost control.

Other children found him on the ground and the bike wedged into a bush.

The children called 000.

Police and paramedics tried CPR but were unable to revive the teenager.

Police are investigating whether or not the boy was wearing any protective gear, including a helmet.
