Terror raids launched in Melbourne's northern suburbs

OFFICERS from Victoria and the Australian Federal Police are conducting anti-terrorism raids in Melbourne's northern suburbs as part of an ongoing investigation.

Victoria Police said it was not in a position to provide further information.

Officers have raided at least one property in Greenvale and there are reports others have been searched in nearby Coolaroo.

Large parts of the street in Greenvale remain blocked off.

Police are yet to revealed why the launched the raids or whom they were targeting.
