The force is strong at Kingaroy

SOUTH Burnett Star Wars fans will not have to travel outside of the area to see The Force Awakens at midnight.

Cinemas around the country are airing the highly anticipated film at midnight on Thursday, December 17.

Until this week it looked like the closest cinema to the South Burnett doing a midnight screening would be Toowoomba's Grand Central Cinemas.

That all changed on Tuesday when Kingaroy Satellite Cinema announced on Facebook that it would be do a special midnight screening on Thursday, December 17.

Tickets are already on sale and can be purchased from the cinema.
