Three houses evacuated as police discover drug lab

POLICE have declared an emergent situation at Cracow in the central Burnett after the discovery of what is believed to be an illicit drug laboratory

Around 11.45pm police were advised of the discovery made by electrical contractors attending an address at Third Avenue.  The contractors were exposed to fumes and required treatment at the Theodore Medical Centre.

Police then set up a 200 metre exclusion zone around the address.

Roads affected include the intersection of Third and Fourth avenues with the Eidsvold Theodore Road.

At this time three houses have been evacuated.

Specialist police are travelling from Brisbane to the scene.  Emergency services are in attendance.
