'Tis the season: Murgon Christmas Fair gives back
LIVE music, street food and community spirit will be in abundance at this year's Murgon Christmas Fair.
The annual festivities are back again for their biggest and brightest year yet, with some special additions to celebrate the fair's 25th anniversary.
A stage show will be boasting an exciting line up including the Wondai Town Band and local music legend, Arthur Nettelfield.
"There will be something there for everyone,” fair organiser, Mark Smith from Murgon's Mark Smith's Menswear said.
"We will have a huge selection of delicious street food from a number of local businesses and this year we have seven different rides for the whole family to enjoy,” Mr Smith said.
Of course, the one and only Mr Claus will be stopping by especially for the evening with $2 Santa photos available from 6-8pm.
Santa's sleigh has taken on a brand new shade to commemorate 25 years since the first Christmas Fair was held back in 1993 and the town's Christmas tree will also be adorned with some beautiful new decorations.
This year will also see the introduction of a selection of sample bags for the very first time.
"The fair started as a great way to get the Murgon community together and has continued to provide an opportunity for the participating local businesses to give back to their loyal customers,” said Mr Smith.
The Murgon Christmas Fair will be held on Friday, December 14 from 5.30-9.30pm.
