TRIPLE THREAT: local orchestra gear up for three big shows
THE South Burnett will be getting a power-packed lead up to Christmas with not one, not two, but three knock-out performances from the South Burnett Community Orchestra over the next two months.
The orchestra will be performing throughout the region with the Armistice Centenary Commemoration Gala Charity Dinner on November 10 at the Kingaroy Town Hall kicking things off.
Tickets are on sale now for a special evening of ceremony and live music inspired by the Anzac Centenary with a community choir joining the orchestra for part of the evening.
Tickets are on sale now for $60 and include a three course meal, with special dietary requirements catered for.
The orchestra will also be presenting their annual end of year concert at the Kumbia School of Arts Memorial Hall on December 8.
A wide variety of music will be showcased, including some Christmas favourites with an optional BBQ dinner available in the interval.
Entry is $15 for adults, $10 for seniors, pensioners and students or $30 for a family ticket with a maximum of two adults, and kids under 18.
Separate meal tickets must be pre-booked before December 6 with special diets also being catered for.
Following the success of the SBCO String Ensemble's first concert at Cassis restaurant in Booie back in June, the Orchestra will be joining with the String Ensemble for an extra special festive evening of fine food and beautiful music.
The two groups will perform music from a range of styles from classical to contemporary, all throughout the course of a gourmet three course dinner is served.
Tickets are $80 each or $75 each for groups of 8 or more and must be booked by December 1.
