Choppy seas delay arrival of Bondi Rescue TV stars in Bay

UPDATE: Choppy conditions have delayed the arrival of Bondi Rescue stars in Hervey Bay.

At 1pm, a spokeswoman said Jesse and Maxi were at Rainbow Beach and did not expect to arrive at Torquay until about 4pm.

EARLIER: Bondi Rescue's Jesse and Maxi will pull up at the Torquay boat ramp on Friday as part of their 2500km jet ski journey up the east coast, from Bondi to Cairns.

The bronzed lifesavers are on more than casual ride - they're on a mission to raise awareness and support for the national youth mental health foundation, Headspace.

The timing of the trip will depend on good wind, wave and weather conditions but the fundraising duo is expected to arrive about 2pm.
