Two drivers badly hurt in horror head-on smash

A MAN and a woman were seriously injured in a head-on crash this afternoon.

The RACQ CareFlight's Toowoomba rescue helicopter was tasked to a collision between two vehicles about 25kms north west of Kingaroy on Gordonbrook Rd around 4.30pm.

Once on scene our medical team assisted the QAS in treating two patients from one of the vehicles.

A woman in her mid twenties suffered head, arm and leg injuries in the accident and was airlifted to the PA Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The male driver of the same vehicle was road transported by QAS to Kingaroy Hospital.

The two cars were badly damaged and debris was strewn over the road.
