Veterans land top results in Kumbia

GOLF: Dot Graham and Rob Donnelly were the top players on course in Kumbia for the South Burnett Veterans Golf Club.

Graham was the best placed woman on the day, finishing with 39 points ahead of runner up Dale Hammond with 36.

Lyn Rycroft and Wendy Harris also finished on 36, followed by Lorraine Kerrin on 35, Bev Dugdell on 33 and Aida Lavings on 32.

Nearest to pin on 14 was Bev Dugdell.

In the men's competition, Donnelly finished on 39 points, one ahead of Dean Pilgrim and Mark Hooley on 38.

Bobby Holmes and Garry Carter each finished on 37, followed by Chris Callaghan and Ray Schofield on 36.

Wally Dugdell was the nearest to pin on six and Holmes was the nearest to pin on 15.

David Tippard was the mug winner on 23 points.

The veterans will play their final game of the season on Tuesday, December 18 with Goomeri Golf Club to play host to the club.

Players are required to have their names in by 8.45am and the shot gun start will be at 9.30am.
