Volleyball comp for Australia Day

VOLLEYBALL fans are invited to come along for the grand opening of the new courts in Kingaroy this weekend.

South Burnett councillor Terry Fleischfresser said the volleyball courts at the Kingaroy Pool were recently revitalised.

New beach volleyball sand has been put in, as well as new sports equipment including the net, balls and scoreboard.

A round robin competition will be held for the grand opening of the courts on Sunday, January 27.

This volleyball competition will be part of the Australia Day long weekend family fun day at the pool.

The family fun activities will include a red rocket run in the pool from 11am and a sausage sizzle.

The Kingaroy pool manager will hold a volleyball competition in the coming weeks after Australia Day.
