WAGNERS is planning to put its business clout into a new venture; a $30 million homeware centre.
The company plans to locate the centre on the corner of Anzac Ave and Carrel Dr, opposite the thriving Bunnings Warehouse.
Although only in the conceptual design and development phase, Wagners hopes the centre will house a variety of homemaker stores including electronics, toys, furniture, tiles and bedding retailers.
There could also be a coffee shop in the centre which could stretch out to 1500sq m of space.
The plan is for one or two large buildings with a large car park at the front.
One advantage for its location on Anzac Ave is that the centre would be easy to access for customers and retailers would be visible from the street.
Wagners had previously conceived a plan for a much smaller centre with a $15m price tag but has since shelved that.

Wagners property development manager Mark Rundle said the company was gauging interest with an expression of interest and early indications showed there was interest from retailers in the site.
He said the south-west was a good location for a homemaker-style centre.
It is hoped bulky goods retailers will benefit from the high amount of foot traffic at the nearby Bunnings.
"There's a huge amount of traffic at Bunnings, particularly on weekends," Mr Rundle said.
"It makes sense to capitalise on the land across the road."
Mr Rundle stressed the proposal was still in its early stages.
He said a development application for the project could be lodged with Toowoomba Regional Council as early as February next year.
If the application was approved quickly by council, work could begin six months later.
