STATE of Origin is one of the most-covered sporting events in Queensland and New South Wales.

Everybody sees what happens in front of the cameras. But fewer are lucky enough to get their hands on a backstage pass.

So today, senior sports reporter Wayne 'Ticker' Heming and video journalist David 'Big Fella' Stuart are taking you along for a ride as they head to Maroons camp, at Sanctuary Cove on Queensland's Gold Coast, to cover the preparations for Rugby League's most anticipated series.

Did Justin Hodges, like the rumours suggest, cut his foot after falling from a bicycle? That question was put to two Queensland players.
