WATCH: Mum challenges parents to raise sweat for a cause

ELIZA Carige is a mum on a mission to get others like her more active everyday.

With son Alexander, who turns two on Mother's Day, and three week old daughter Ruby in tow, it is no sweat for Eliza to bring the kids to 'mum and bub' boot camps, women's fitness sessions, interval training and family walks along the Esplanade.

Now the 28-year-old River Heads' woman is helping to organise the Mother's Day Classic fundraiser fun run on May 8 and wants all parents with pram-aged kids to give it a go.

She even has some top advice for those nervous.

"Attempt it, even if it goes pear shaped, nine times out of ten, the kids will surprise you with how good they are," she said.

"If it all fails, pop them in the car and go home."

All money raised from the Women in Super event will go towards breast cancer research and the colour of the day is pink.

Registrations are now open for the event.

There will be a 2.5 and 5km walk and a 5km run along the Esplanade, departing from and arriving back at Urangan's Pier Park.
