WATER WORKS: Supply to be cut off for maintenance program

SOME Nanango residents may have their water supply cut temporarily so crucial maintenance work can be completed next month.

South Burnett Regional Council will be continuing its routine maintenance program and its commitment to ensuring the long-term sustainability and efficiency of water infrastructure in the region.

Workers will be conducting a water main replacement program along Wickham St, Nanango from July 22, and it is expected to be complete by August 19.

The council expects the water supply will be affected on or around August 12 to allow for the new water main to be cut in.

Maintenance staff will also be replacing the water main along Wills St, Nanango.

This replacement is scheduled to be carried out from July 22 and be completed by August 19.

It is expected the water supply for Wills St will be affected on or around August 12.

Residents in both areas will be notified about service interruptions closer to the date.

The council apologises for any inconvenience the work may cause.

If you have any inquiries, contact the council's water and wastewater section on 4189 9100, or email info@southburnett.qld.gov.au.
