Weather puts a stop to show

THE South Burnett's wet weather weekend affected a number of sporting events across the region.

The South Burnett Western Performance Club was forced to cancel its annual classics show on Sunday but managed to host Saturday's scheduled three judge show.

South Burnett Western Performance Club secretary June Gatehouse was pleased with Saturday's show but disappointed in having to cancel Sunday's Classics event due to the weather turning sour.

"Saturday was a good little show and there were some nice, good quality horses there," she said.

"We expected a lot more people and it was a good day other than the rain."

Gatehouse said there was hope this year's classics event could still go ahead.

"We are trying to re-schedule the event for this Sunday," she said.
