Weekend of entertainment at Kingaroy speedway

SPEEDWAY:

The Kings Royal is a favourite on the racing calendar among modified sedan drivers throughout Australia.

In its sixth year the Kingaroy Speedway are proud of the reputation of the race among drivers and hope to create an equally great experience for spectators.

During each intermission spectators will have the opportunity to walk through the pits.

Secretary of Kingaroy Speedway, Tanya Barron said this is a great opportunity for the kids to meet the drivers and put a face to the cars.

"It is to let the kids come into the pits and encourages them too look around and see and touch the cars and they can have photos with the drivers,” she said.

"It is an opportunity for them to see the cars and meet the drivers and get autographs.”

In addition to the modified sedan event the junior sedans will take to the track tonight and the women will race in the Queen's royal on Saturday night to celebrate the women of speedway.

Their will be a fireworks display on Saturday night ahead of the final race.

"We are really looking forward to it and hope to see a huge crowd come and enjoy the Australia day weekend with us,” Barron said.
