What's on in the South Burnett this weekend

1. Nanango Show

NANANGO is set to host its biggest show yet this Saturday with a day packed full of attractions for all ages, such as harness racing, chainsaw events, baby animal farms and fireworks. Ticket prices start at $15 for adults and $10 for pensioners and children aged older than 14 years.

2. Go to the movies

VISIT the Kingaroy Cinema for an afternoon out. The latest Marvel blockbuster Avengers: Infinity War is currently showing, read the review on page 63 of this issue. The film I Can Only Imagine is also new this weekend, telling the powerful story behind the band Mercy Me. Rampage and Blockers are also showing.

3. Goomeri markets

MOTHER'S Day twilight markets will be held in the Goomeri market square in the Rail Trail grounds near the Grand Hotel from 3-8pm on Saturday. The markets will feature food, homemade gifts, a mobile cafe and jumping castle.

4. Aboriginal art exhibition

HEAD to the Blackbutt Memorial Hall on Saturday to see the Central Australian Aboriginal Art collection. Half the funds raised from all art sold will go towards aged care. The exhibition will be open from 10am to 3pm.

5. Bunya Markets

THE monthly Bunya Mountain Markets will be running at Dandabah in the Bunya Mountains on Sunday. Up to 30 stands selling local produce and arts and craft will be operating from 9am to 2pm.
