THERE are many events across the South Burnett this New Year's 2016.
Here are just a couple.
New Year's Eve Fireworks At Lake Boondooma
Boondooma Dam will hold its third annual fireworks display.
There'll be market stalls, jumping castles, petting zoo, food vans, a licensed bar and band but unlike previous years these is only one fireworks session at 9pm.
The organisers, Niki Burchett and Corey Goldie opted for one large display instead of two smaller shows.
"There's plenty of room for everyone," Ms Burchett said.
"We have heaps of unpowered sites available all of the powered sites and cabin are booked out."
If camping is not your thing you can still roll up for the fireworks, the band and markets.
Since running the first fireworks night three years ago Ms Burchett said it was slowly going into one major events in the region.
"A lot of people come in just for the fireworks, we get easily over 1000 people," she said.
"It's a free event and you don't need to camp to attend."
The markets will get going at about noon with fireworks on from 9pm.
Unpowered camp site start from $12 a person per night.

New Year's Eve Seafood Smorgasbord, Wondai
Dimities Cottage in Wondai will hold an all-you-can-eat New Year's Eve Seafood Smorgasbord from 6.30pm.
The smorgasbord have all the favourite hot and cold dishes fresh off the trawlers.
Tea, coffee and dessert is included at a cost of $40 a person.

Maidenwell Hotel New Year's Eve Party
The annual pig-on-the-spit returns to the Maidenwell Hotel.
The organisers will fire up the spit at 7.30am on Saturday and they'll cook right through until 5pm.
A full roast dinner will be served at 6pm.
Local Band Mr Q will play from 8pm until the New Year is brought in.
All are welcome to turn up earlier in the day and watch the pig spin.

New Year's Eve Celebrity Dress Up Party
Come dressed as your favourite celebrity to the Commercial Hotel in Glendon St, Kingaroy.
The party will start at 8pm and run until 2am.
DJ Danny B from Brisbane and DJ Marshall from New Zealand with play some tunes and entry is free if you arrive before 9pm.
Otherwise $10 and a lock-out will apply from midnight or earlier, if the hotel reaches full capacity.

Goomeri Rodeo and Campdraft
Gates open at 8am with junior rodeo events running through the day and main rodeo events to start at 5pm.
With more than $5000 in prize money up for grabs at this NRA-affiliated Rodeo it promises to be a good night of rodeo action.
It'll have an open bull ride, saddle and bareback broncs, barrel racing, and the kids poddy ride
There's an licensed bar and free, unpowered camping.
Entry is $20 for adults and $15 for children aged 12-17, under 12 is free, a family pass for two adults and two child aged 12 and over is $50.

Heritage Nanango New Year's Eve Mardi Gras
The Year's Eve Mardi Gras starts at 4pm at the Nanango Showgrounds.
This free entry, family-friendly event will feature rides and amusements for children, live entertainment from Ziggy And The Copycat Killers and a Pink Floyd tribute band, food and drinks at affordable prices.
The first round of fireworks are scheduled for 8pm with second round at midnight.
Nanango residents who've been taking part in the Mardi Gras Money promotion running in local shops since October can use their Mardi Gras dollars to pay for food, drinks and rides.
South Burnett Speedway
SRE SSA National Street Stock Title will be held at the Kingaroy Speedway at the weekend.
The main gates open at 3pm New Year's Eve with the first race scheduled for 5pm.
Admission is $25 for adults and $15 for students and concession card holders.
