Who needs Bunnings?: Mitre 10 responds to new arrival

BUNNINGS Warehouse may be on its way next year, but the largest hardware store currently in the South Burnett reckons they already offer everything you need.

Sunshine Mitre 10 Kingaroy retail store manager Steve Miatt said he was extremely proud of his team and the hard work they did for the community.

"We employ more than 40 people and have many staff with 10 years or more service and some with more than 15," Mr Miatt said.

Julie Hanson and Barry Collins are two such team members with 27 years of service to Mitre 10's Kingaroy store between them.

Sunshine Mitre 10 was focused on supporting the local community as it has since 1985 as well as offering a large range of products from their 4000sq m purpose built premises.

Mitre 10 is very active in all the communities in which they operate in and Kingaroy is no exception.

"We employ locals who have been a part of the Kingaroy community for many years and are proud of their long term connections," Mr Miatt said.

They have heavily supported many community and sporting groups for nearly over three decades, Mr Miatt said.

Retail manager, Mr Miatt said they would continue to look after their customers as good as they always have no matter what new business came into town.

"We pride ourselves on our exceptional service to retail and trade customers, providing a large range from our store as well as expert advice for everyone," he said.
