Winner thrilled with plane jump

WHY would you want to jump out of a perfectly good plane?

That is a question Kingaroy's Rachel Nordling-Baker has been asked many times, after her first skydiving experience two years ago.

And she is about to get the same treatment, after she won a free skydiving session from the South Burnett Times and the Central and North Burnett Times last month.

Ms Nordling-Baker, 18, was overwhelmed after learning she had won the competition.

"I was unbelievably astounded," she said. "I can't wait to go again - it has to be one of the best feelings in the world."

The idea of jumping out of a plane is a terrifying thought for some, but not for Ms Nordling-Baker.

"It is scary at first, but then it is an unbelievably calm, as you fall," she said. "It is really hard to describe it."

The addictive feeling of free falling was the reason she entered the competition multiple times.

For your chance to win keep an eye out for the South Burnett Times offers in 2013.
