Winners crowned and golfers honour at memorial shield
CHRIS Callaghan and Morgan McKaskill proved to have the winning combination at the second round of the four ball best ball stableford in Blackbuttt to win the overall competition.
With a score of 88 points the duo defeated Jim Dull and Bill Wilson by two points.
Rob Donnelly and Steve Knutsen were the winners of the second round on 46 points in a field of 22 players on June 26.
Meanwhile, on Saturday 61 players turned out in Blackbutt to honour Cliff Reiser at the memorial shield. with D Reiser, C Reiser Jnr and A Reiser winning the day on 57.5 points.
J Payne R Payne and M Payne finished as runners-up on 58 Points
J Coupland, C Pohlman and D Giddy were runners down on 61 points followed by R Donnelly, L Worth and M Derby 62 1/6 points.
The next event at the club is the veteran's competition on July 3.
