Winter to brighten up the Wondai races

STAND out and embrace the winter season with bright colours at the Wondai Races this weekend.

The race club encourages punters to dress up to the theme of 'winter brights' for the popular Fashions on the Field competition.

The social event on Saturday, July 6, will be a full day of racing, admiring carefully put together fashionable outfits and meeting new friends.

The entry cost will be $10 for the event at South Burnett Race Club.

There will be food stalls, a canteen, licensed bar and bookmakers all operating on the day.

The first race is scheduled to start at 1.45pm and the final race scheduled for 4.15pm.

Enjoy the five-race program from the comfort of your own marquee with your own delicious grazing platters.

These can be pre-booked at $50 per table of 10 and $25 per grazing platter.

Bookings must be made by Friday, July 5. Phone 0499873269 to book.

The South Burnett racecourse is located on Baynes St, Wondai.
