Woman charged with attempted murder over shooting

A WOMAN has been charged with attempted murder following an incident at Laidley Heights this morning.

Police attended an address at Van Der Weyer Rd just before 9am where they located a 26-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his abdomen.

A 33-year-old Laidley Heights woman has been charged with attempted murder and failing to take reasonable care and precautions in respect of a syringe or needle.

She is expected to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court tomorrow.
