A WOMAN has died in a crash this morning at Beenleigh.
Police said initial investigations indicated the woman was driving north along Saratoga Street when she crashed into a parked car, before striking a power pole about 3.45am.
The 26-year-old, who was the only person in the car at the time, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
No one else was injured during the incident.
Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
Today's crash comes after a two-year-old was rushed to hospital after a car crash west of Ipswich yesterday afternoon.
The young boy was a passenger in the car when it lost control and rolled on the Warrego Highway at Minden just before 5.30pm.
The child was taken to Lady Cilento Children's Hospital in a critical condition.
Two adults in the car were also hurt, one badly.
A police spokesman said the female driver suffered serious injuries while a male passenger received minor injuries.
Both were taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment.
Police are investigating.
It's the third case of a child being injured by a vehicle in the past week, after two 4-year-old boys were stuck by vehicles in separate accidents.
One is recovering in hospital after being struck by a relative's car at Peak Crossing on Friday, while the other was tragically killed after colliding with a van when he ventured onto the road at Dalby last Sunday.
