A TOOWOOMBA resident is on a one woman mission to bring a Melbourne-based fashion clothing and accessories brand to Toowoomba.

Kim Major has started a petition calling for Forever New to set up shop in the Garden City.

The brand is famous for celebrating "the feminine beauty of women" and has a "signature style flowing through every creative element".

Ms Major said she started the petition after trying to find a dress in town for the races last year.

"I decided to drive down to Brisbane to buy a dress from Forever New and have been driving to Brisbane and the Gold Coast at least monthly to buy clothes from forever new or asking family to pick them up," she said.

She tried online shopping but said it was too expensive and she could never be sure if the dresses fitted properly.

"All the ladies I've spoken to would love a forever new in town," she said.

"This particular store has affordable, quality women's wear that's on the ball when it comes to fashion trends. A Forever New store would fit in perfectly in the new Grand Central extension."

Forever New emerged in late 2006 as a start-up retailer and now trades in over 250 stores across seven countries including Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, China, India and Turkey.

Collections are inspired by global trends in art, film, music, theatre and haute couture runway shows in Paris, London, Milan and New York.
