Woman's hilarious response to mower thief

A TOOWOOMBA woman annoyed at a thief who stole her mower has struck back, with a funny message.

Karmilla Saunders's lawn mower was stolen from the Harristown area on Saturday night.

She posted a message on a popular crime site warning residents to keep an eye on any items in their yards around Cortess, Jean, Alderley and West Sts.

"Some dirty pr**k stole our lawn mower last night," she said.

But she had the last laugh writing a message on a sign to the thief.

The thief had apparently forgotten to take the grass catcher, which had been sitting next to the mower.

"Free to the thief who stole my mower," the sign reads.

She placed the catcher below the sign with red writing stating "might as well take this too low life!!!"

It's unclear whether the thief has taken her up on her offer.
