WORK is continuing on the fire-destroyed parts of Swickers Bacon Factory.

A fire broke out at the facility on Sunday, November 6, damaging the boning room and meat chillers.

Swickers management said last year that they hoped to have the abattoir up and running again within 18 months.

Workers have been temporarily moved to work at a facility in Ipswich while the facility is reconstructed.
